Care Plans

Websites aren’t “set and forget”. To stay secure, reliable, and effective over time, they need regular updates, monitoring, and occasional adjustments.

JGS Solutions Website Care Plans provide ongoing support so your website continues to work as it should without you needing to worry about technical maintenance, security tasks, or unexpected issues.

These plans are designed for charities, schools, safeguarding organisations, community groups, and small businesses that don’t have in-house technical teams, but still need their website to be dependable and well looked after.

Why Care Plans Exist

Websites are made up of many moving parts. Software, plugins, hosting environments, and security updates. Over time, these need attention to keep everything working smoothly and securely.

Without regular maintenance, even a well-built website can become slow, unreliable, or vulnerable to issues that are hard to diagnose once they appear.

Keeping things stable

Care Plans exist to handle routine updates, checks, and monitoring in the background, so problems are less likely to arise in the first place. This helps keep your website stable, secure, and available when people need it.

Reducing technical burden

Many organisations don’t have the time, capacity, or confidence to manage website maintenance themselves. Care Plans remove that burden, providing dependable support without requiring technical knowledge from your team.

Supporting continuity

Staff roles change, priorities shift, and organisations evolve. Care Plans help ensure your website continues to work consistently through those changes, rather than becoming outdated or neglected over time.

Peace of mind

Ultimately, Care Plans are about reassurance. Knowing your website is being looked after allows you to focus on your work, rather than worrying about updates, security issues, or unexpected problems.

What Care Plans Typically Include

While each Care Plan is tailored to the level of support you need, all plans are built around the same core principles: stability, security, and dependable support.

Keeping things stable

Care Plans exist to handle routine updates, checks, and monitoring in the background, so problems are less likely to arise in the first place. This helps keep your website stable, secure, and available when people need it.

Core maintenance and monitoring

  • Regular WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates
  • Security monitoring to help protect against common threats
  • Uptime checks to ensure your website remains available
  • Automated backups so your site can be restored if needed

Ongoing fixes and adjustments

  • Minor fixes and adjustments as issues arise
  • Help resolving errors or unexpected behaviour
  • Small layout or content changes within agreed scope

Support when you need it

  • Clear, reliable support if you have questions or concerns
  • Straightforward explanations in plain English
  • Help prioritising what actually needs attention
The exact level of support varies depending on the Care Plan you choose, but the aim is always the same: to keep your website running smoothly without adding unnecessary complexity.

Levels of Support

Different organisations rely on their website in different ways. Care Plans are offered at several levels so you can choose the amount of support that fits how your website is used and how much internal capacity you have.

You don’t need to decide everything up front. We can talk through what level of support makes sense and adjust over time if your needs change.

How Support Works Day-to-Day

Care Plans are designed to be dependable and straightforward. The aim is that you don’t need to think about your website unless you want to and that help is available when you do.

A clear point of contact

You have one main point of contact who knows your website and your organisation. You don’t need to explain things repeatedly or work through a helpdesk system, support is personal and consistent.

Handling issues calmly

If something breaks, behaves unexpectedly, or needs attention, you can get in touch and it will be looked into. Issues are handled methodically and explained clearly, without jargon or unnecessary alarm.

Ongoing background care

Much of the work happens quietly in the background: updates, checks, and monitoring that keep the site stable and secure. The goal is to prevent problems rather than react to them.

Clear communication

When work is carried out, it’s explained in plain English. You’ll know what’s been done, why it matters, and whether anything needs your input.
Support is designed to fit around your organisation, not interrupt it.

Is a Care Plan Right for You?

Not every organisation needs the same level of ongoing support, and it’s okay if you’re not sure what makes sense right now.

A Care Plan may be a good fit if:

  • You don’t want to worry about updates, security, or technical maintenance

  • Your website is important to how your organisation communicates or operates

  • You’d prefer support to be in place before problems arise

  • You don’t have in-house technical capacity, or that responsibility sits alongside other roles

If you’re not sure

Some organisations start with a Care Plan straight after a website launch. Others prefer to manage things themselves at first and add support later.

There’s no requirement to commit immediately, and plans can be adjusted as your needs change. The aim is to provide the right level of support at the right time, not to push you into something that doesn’t fit.

If you’d like to talk through your situation, we can look at what makes sense for your organisation and take things from there.
